When was the last time you were online? Honestly, I am still online. This can never change and we should not expect this to change. Social media overload causes stress and pose several unbalances in life. People in today’s world have two faces, the real one and the one online. People post fake things to get likes and comments on social media pages and are lying 24/7. There are certain ways by which stress caused by social media can be avoided and it’s good to take a break and be offline and take some time out and interact with the real world.

Filter the negativity, choose wisely

The social media feed is something that we scroll up and down all day long and keep getting mood swings. There are several people who are on the news feed just to add up to the negativity and they are of no good. There are people who are funny and they joke around but there are others who only cause discomfort; they need to be filtered as soon as possible. You can even choose if you want to get rid of them permanently or choose an intermediate way of hiding them from your wall. There are so many ways with which the stress can be avoided or minimized. 

Shut those Notifications off for good:

It’s time to stay away from the drama, at least for a while. Interrupting yourself from those annoying notifications when you are in a middle of something important is not a smart move at all. Turn off the notifications from your social media accounts and focus on the important things i.e. your life. You should be in total control of your life, controlling notifications will make you feel at ease. You will be shutting the notifications for good. Try it to believe it.

Step out – Communicate with Nature

The pressure and stress of social media causes health problems too. Don’t find answers from different social media gurus rather take a step out and communicate with nature. The cool breeze, the smiling sun and the dancing trees will heal you, giving a break from the hectic routine. You will return to the workplace with a fresh mind. Taking regular walks can make you forget the social media frenzy and ultimately save you from the haunting stress. This will also help you to understand that it is fine to put a full stop to the social media and you will not die of it. You will regain the lost immunity to tackle the social media effects. My life, my rules. 

Break time- Concentrate on important things

We have stressed ourselves. The social media fever id getting us by storm and we are letting it handle our minds. The key to be safe from this stress is to stay away. Try to engage as less as possible and find time to rest your mind. Taking regular breaks from the social media addiction will allow you to think and differentiate between the necessary and unnecessary things. Just take a break and enjoy the serenity of life. Disconnect from social media and connect with yourself.

Microsoft is ready to build cloud data centers in South Africa

U.S. software giant Microsoft has announced plans to open two new cloud data centers in South Africa, in order to provide Microsoft Cloud services for the African market from centers based on the continent.

These hyperscale data centers will be built in Cape Town and Johannesburg, representing a strategic advantage for Microsoft, as they will be the only top-tier cloud provider with a data center presence in Africa.

With availability of cloud services expected in 2018, the services that will be delivered via the two South African data centers will include Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and Dynamics 365, offering enterprise-grade reliability, performance and data residency, according to CNBCAfrica.

Julia White, corporate vice-president for Azure and Security at Microsoft, announced the plans for two new cloud data centers, bringing the total of Microsoft’s Azure regions around the world to 40.

“We are announcing for the first time that the Microsoft Cloud will be delivered directly from Africa with data centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town, with initial availability of our cloud technologies in 2018,” said White, according to Techcentral.

White revealed that services will be improved from “Cairo to Cape Town”, pointing to the “incredible innovation and growth” on the African continent as reasons for Microsoft’s decision to deploy locally-based ICT infrastructure.

Cloud data centers in Africa due to growth prospects

Commenting on the benefits for Africa and the reason that South Africa was chosen to host the two data centers, Jon Tullett, research manager of IT Services at IDC Africa, mentioned that the investment by Microsoft would be warranted by the potential they see for revenue and growth of their customer base.

“Clearly, we have reached whatever threshold Microsoft needed to see, in terms of revenue and growth, to make it worthwhile investing in the country. This is not only good for Microsoft and its partners, but reflects really well on South Africa in terms of cloud adoption,” Tullet said, according to IT-Online.

“What we’ve been saying in terms of cloud growth is clearly mirrored here by Microsoft’s cloud strategy. Through their actions, they are saying that the market is growing at a fast enough pace to warrant a substantial investment and that is very good news for the entire cloud ecosystem in South Africa,” he added.

Cloud computing technology allows for storing and accessing of data and software over the internet rather than a particular computer hard drive, with applications for Africans spanning across entrepreneurship, education, government and various other fields, and local data centers mean more reliability and increased availability of the services that Microsoft provide.

Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 surface

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) - which has already received certifications and also been spotted in benchmark listings - has now leaked in renders. The image that has leaked shows the device in four colors: blue, pink, gold, and black and there is an intriguing antenna design on the back.

Many news have been popping up about the new Android OS"the Android O", also it is expected to come with many features which includes fast booting time, long lasting battery life and many more. We having been hearing about Android O and up till now - no one can say what name Google has for it. Many people have given it their own names but the most popular name is OREO which was derived from a cookie.

However, it is said to be unveiled at the Google I/O 2017 and that also to be in two different categories which includes the FLUID EXPERIENCE and the VITALS. Thus, I'm going to take the both categories one after the other (explain in details) and I'll likes to start with the VITALS.

The Android O Vitals:
The below are the features embedded in the Android O Vitals section which are awesome. Anyways there's no much time left for me, so I have to go straight to the point without exhausting your time too.

BOOTING TIME:
Earlier, I talked about Google making Android O booting speed to be faster than that of the other OS. The boot time in Android O is said to be improved and more faster than the old OS version of Android. This time, it is said to be more faster in booting speed/time and also for individual apps in some cases such as Google sheets.


SECURITY ENHANCEMENT:
More security is said to be added by Google, over 55 billion apps are scanned everyday on every connected device to detect harmful apps. For more usability, Google is inventing check ups front and center with the Google play protect. This features has already been made available in the Google play store which helps you to manually scan apps from any malware.

KOTLIN ADDED:
KOTLIN has now been added by Google as an officially supported language for Android. Thus, there's no how I'll talk of KOTLIN when there are many people that doesn't know about it but I'll like to highlight a little bit of it. KOTLIN is a programming language which is now added to Java and C++, it is an open sourced project under Apache 2.0 license. However, you can download KOTLIN plugin and begin your developing right away in Android studio.



The Android O Fluid Experience:
In as much as the virtual section added to Android O, there are some magnificent new features to appear the fluid experience of the Android O and this includes the below.

NOTIFICATION INDICATOR:
In the history of Android OS, there has been no such feature embedded in them. My first instance of experiencing NOTIFICATION INDICATOR was on NOVA LAUNCHER which is a third party app (not system app) and also it indicates it's own using UNREAD COUNT. However in the new Android OS "the Android O" - there will be a NOTIFICATION INDICATOR in it which is said to come as A DOT on the top of any app you have notification in.
Secondly, the colour of the dot is said to be AUTOGENERATED which means that it works with the colour of the app and yes, to view the Notification - you can simply long press the app you noticed the Notification on.

PICTURE IN PICTURE:
Isn't this name "Picture in picture" a little bit confusing and funny? Anyways, that's the best name to describe this feature. This picture in picture feature allows you to keep YouTube video on which operating on another task in your phone at the same time, this function can be seen as MULTI-TASKING which comes as in-built feature in Android O since it's not made possible in other OS rather programming a third party app for it.


AUTOFILL FEATURE:
The new Android OS version is said to have a very powerful Autofill feature, this feature is not new to us because it was first invented and made available in one of the Google's application "the Chrome Browser" but it is said to come along with the new Android OS version.

COPY AND PASTE FEATURE:
Like I said in my previous post, Google has invented new techniques of making use of copy and paste feature. Copy and paste is seen to be the one of the most used features in any Android device but this time around, it came with smart paste selection feature. However, it uses Google's rich neural network to text and to use this feature in the Android O - simply Double tap the text you need to be highlighted.

Conclusion:
Android O has been coming up with new features as the day passes by, the first Android O features was noticed on the Developers Preview and now more features are been added. The Android O if I were to say will not be launched as we expected, the date might be a little bit far because it is under development, more features to be added and also to test it so as to detect if there's any bug.

Samsung Galaxy C10 Smartphone

On a first note, don’t you think it’s weird that Samsung does not have a dual camera smartphone to its name yet? i think so though, ’cause even Tecno (if i’m not mistaken) has one. Well, present news has i that something like that is about to come up.

Before now, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was earlier tipped to be the first Samsung phone to feature a dual-camera setup, but it now seem, according to the leak, as if the company’s C10 smartphone might leapfrog and take the honour. New leaked images of Samsung Galaxy C10 not only suggest that the phone will feature a dual camera setup but also that it will be the first smartphone from the South Korean company to have this camera configuration. Quite impressive, right? NO.. long overdue.

As you can see in the image above, focuses only on a small portion of the device’s back, revealing things like rose gold color, antenna bands, dual-LED flash, and power/lock key. It might likely come with Snapdragon 660 chipset.

LG G6 + GALAXY S8 VS XPERIA XZ PREMIUM

It's pick-a-flagship time and these are probably the three best phones of the season. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 are already available worldwide, while the Xperia XZ Premium is just about starting to hit the shelves - so it won't be all that painful a wait if the phone proves worthy.

The HTC U 11 would've felt right at home here too, but it was only announced a day or so ago and we've barely gotten a glimpse of it. As if these 3 massive egos aren't too hard to handle already. Anyway, the HTC U 11 will have a chance to prove its worth, that's for sure.

The Xperia XZ Premium enters this fight with the fastest smartphone camera in existence - it can record videos at up to 960 frames per second (not even an entire second, but more on that later). It's also got the highest-res display of them all - Sony was the first to take the plunge into 4K with the Z5 Premium and, a year and a half later, the XZ Premium is only the second phone that goes beyond QHD.

Okay not entirely true - both the G6 and S8 pack a few more pixels than the standard 2,560x1,440px, but on the tall side only. The G6's 18:9 aspect (a.k.a. 2:1) means 2,880x1,440px, while the S8's even weirder 18.5:9 ratio (or 37:18, while we're at it) results in 2,960x1,440px. Such are the times.

In terms of hardware, the LG G6 comes slightly disadvantaged - it's powered by the Snapdragon 821 chipset, as opposed to the 835 in both the S8 and the Premium. LG paid the price for the early launch but it's true too that the G6 won't burn up your budget like the other two.

It's not just in this way that the G6 stands out, however. LG's phone has as many rear cameras as the the other two combined. Believe it or not, it's the Samsung Galaxy S8 that has probably the simplest camera - that's until you think about the dual pixel autofocus which is still unmatched in the smartphone realm, and the Google Pixel-like multi-image processing brought in to enhance the otherwise last year's shooter.

Google email application will be getting smart reply very soon

Google’s e-mail app will soon suggest responses to e-mails, which will allow users to reply timeously and appropriately while on-the-go.
The feature, called Smart Reply, uses artificial intelligence to scan through e-mails and give the option of three replies.

It first appeared in 2015 in its separate e-mail app called Inbox and has since been used in messaging app Allo and on Android Wear.
Smart Reply will now be integrated into Google’s mainstream e-mail smartphone app Gmail. This was announced at Google’s annual I/O developer conference this week.

Google says Smart Reply messages account for 12 percent of all replies sent in Inbox.

“Based on our examination of the use of Smart Reply in Inbox and our ideas about how humans learn and use language, we have created a new version of Smart Reply for Gmail. This version increases the percentage of usable suggestions and is more algorithmically efficient,” explain Google researchers, Brian Strope and Ray Kurzweil, in a blog post.

Three basic suggestions will be given at the end of a message and users can either choose the best to send immediately or edit one of the replies.

Over time, Smart Reply will learn how users speak (or write) in e-mails, and responses will become more personalised.
The update will roll out to iOS and Android in English. Google says a Spanish version will be available in the next few weeks.

NOKIA 3310 PASSES THROUGH TENNA
